What is the accuracy of the inclination sensor?

With the continuous breakthrough of the technology of the inclination sensor, the precision of the inclination sensor becomes smaller and smaller. When purchasing the inclination sensor, you may ask what the precision of the inclination sensor means. When purchasing the inclination sensor, you must purchase the inclination sensor with relatively small precision. Well, let's find out below.

Accuracy of the inclination sensor

The accuracy of the inclination sensor refers to the mean square value error of the actual angle and the sensor measurement angle measured multiple times (≥16 times). When purchasing an inclination sensor, it is not necessary to buy an inclination sensor with relatively small precision, but it should be judged according to the actual situation how much accuracy is required, and then decide which inclination sensor to buy.

The measurement accuracy of the inclination sensor is closely related to the following indicators:

1. Sensitivity error: It depends on the own characteristics of the core sensitive device, but at the same time is related to the frequency response, also known as the amplitude-frequency characteristic. After the actual test, the impact on the sensitivity is very small and can be ignored.

2. Zero offset: It depends on the characteristics of the core sensitive device, which means that when the sensor has no angle input (such as an absolute horizontal plane), the measured output of the sensor is not zero, and the actual output angle value is the zero offset. This indicator has nothing to do with whether the sensor can be zeroed or not.

3. Non-linearity: It can be corrected by subsequent correction, depending on the number of correction points. The more correction points, the better the nonlinearity.

The service life of the inclination sensor is generally relatively short, which is related to the environment in which it is used. When using the inclination sensor, pay attention to protecting the sensor in harsh environments, especially in mechanical vehicles. The sensor must be checked frequently, and the inclination sensor with problems should be replaced in time.

Note that the service life of the inclination sensor will be shortened in a high temperature and long-term operating environment.
